Owners: Danny & Sharon Elkins

Danny grew up on the west side of our property. He raised a few pointer bird dogs and spent many days bobwhite quail hunting on this and surrounding properties and as well as properties across the state. As a teenager and young entrepreneur he had a hay hauling business until he went to college at the University of Texas to become a Pharmacist. After many years of owning two pharmacies and filling prescriptions behind a drugstore counter, his longing to work outside again became a reality. Over time he acquired 1200 acres of land which includes rolling hills outlined with red oaks, post oaks, white oaks and loblolly pine trees. Guests have been sharing our place since early 2000.

Now we are home to hundreds of both native wildlife and exotic species roaming free throughout our 1200 acres of land. We like to keep things simple, the way nature intended. We offer all inclusive hunting packages to include meals and lodging and allow hunters to use their weapon of choice (bows, black powder centerfire, rifles, hand guns, etc.)

In the beginning, we focused primarily on hunting, but during the summer and slow season we evolved into an event venue. We enlarged and enclosed the pavilion in 2006. It is a beautiful climate controlled facility overlooking a 5 acre lake with wildlife milling around. We have enjoyed hosting annual events like the Ducks Unlimited Banquet, proms, reunions, weddings and receptions. We provide tables, chairs, linens, dressing areas, a bar area and perfect setup for bands and/or a DJ. We offer catering services from simple horderves to a variety of menu items. We are best known for a pecan smoked BBQ brisket, sweet green beans, twice baked potatoes, slaw and rolls, but we office other entrees. Our desire is to allow clients to create lasting memories while giving them personal and exceptional service.
